As part of Indiana University’s International Education Week, the Overseas Studies and Scholarship Program within IU’s Office of the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Multicultural Affairs (OVPDEMA) is hosting the Embrace Diversity, Share Cultures Study Abroad Fair. From 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, IU Bloomington students will be introduced to the large scope of international-study opportunities provided by the program and several campus partners, enjoy activities, giveaways and international performances, hear from peers who have previously studied abroad, and have the chance to win prizes.

“We are extremely proud of OVPDEMA’s Study Abroad program and believe the Study Abroad Fair is a tremendous opportunity for students to hear detailed information about the amazing experiences that can occur when they engage with new cultures,” said Martin McCrory, IU vice provost for educational inclusion and diversity, and associate vice president for diversity, equity, and multicultural affairs.

“The fair represents the work of a wide variety of campus partners who have gathered together to help our students continue to move toward cultural competency. Therefore, I highly encourage all students to attend this event to fuel both their cultural and academic growth.”

To provide students with resources, the Study Abroad Fair will feature representatives from several departments at IU, including: The Office of Overseas Study, the School of Global and International Studies, the Career Development Center, the Center for Language Excellence, the College of Arts and Sciences, Hutton Honors College’s International Experience Program, IU Flagship Centers, the Kelley School of Business, the Office of Financial Literacy, the Office of Student Financial Assistance, the Media School, the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and the School of Public Health.
